Monsignor John Broadhurst celebrated and preached at St Thomas’s, Sevenoaks, yesterday, for the Sevenoaks Ordinariate Group. He was joined by the Vicar-General of the Archdiocese of Southwark, Monsignor Matthew Dickens. Photos of the event can be found here.
Splendid morning today, not one Monsignor but two! Monsignor John Broadhurst and Mrs Broadhurst came all the way from Wellingborough to encourage the Ordinariate group and Monsignor Matthew Dickens, Vicar General of the Archdiocese of Southwark, was here too. He welcomed and encouraged us as he promised us a warm welcome and the prayers of the Archdiocese.
After Mass, we all repaired to the Parish Room and joined by the Parish Priest Fr Harvey we enjoyed an excellent spread lovingly prepared by all members of the group.
Monsignor Broadhurst delivered the catechises which today was about the Church.
There is a great sense of excitement now as Holy Week draws near. Excitement from the members of the Ordinariate and from the people of St Thomas’ who are so hugely welcoming. Thank you all for such a splendid morning. And you, kind readers, please keep us in your prayers.
