Ordinariate: Young people invited to two exciting events

23 03 2011

From the official website of the Personal Ordinariate of Our Lady of Walsingham:

Young members of the Personal Ordinariate of Our Lady of Walsingham have received two special invitations to events designed to help them grow deeper in their faith.

Fr Stephen Langridge, Chairman of the Vocations Directors of England & Wales, has written to invite the young men and women of the Ordinariate, to Invocation 2011, this year’s vocations discernment festival taking place at St Mary’s College, Oscott from Friday 17 to Sunday 19 June.

This national festival is aimed at young men and women aged 16-35, who are looking to deepen their relationship with Christ and who are trying to discern God’s will for their lives. For some this may mean being open to the possibility of a vocation to the priesthood or religious life. It is not a ‘recruitment weekend’. The emphasis is on fellowship, catechesis and prayer. There will be Adoration throughout the weekend and opportunities for Confession. For more information visit www.invocation.org.uk.

Fr Marcus Holden, one of the authors of Evangelium, has also been in touch to welcome 18-35 year olds to the 2011 Evangelium Conference, held at The Reading Oratory School from Friday 5 to Sunday 7 August. Speakers include the Bishop of Shrewsbury, Steve Ray – a former Baptist and well-known evangelist, and the Revd Ed Tomlinson, who is leading the Tunbridge Wells Ordinariate Group.
