The Ordinary, Fr Keith Newton, has asked that today – the feast of the Chair of St Peter – be kept as a day of prayer for the Personal Ordinariate of Our Lady of Walsingham, reflecting on the role of the papacy and giving thanks for the gift of unity with the Holy Father through his gift of Anglicanorum coetibus. A number of events can be found here.
Fr Newton encourages us to spend some time in prayer in a Catholic Church, preferably in the presence of the Blessed Sacrament. During this time, you may wish to use these resources which were compiled for the event last year and include some helpful material – here and here.
May Our Lady of Walsingham and Blessed John Henry pray for us!
