Tablet: CofE priests join Walsingham ordinariate

Several leading Anglo-Catholic Church of England priests have announced their resignations in order to join the Personal Ordinariate of Our Lady of Walsingham established by Rome. Fr Ivan Aquilina and Fr James Bradley – who was ordained last summer – of St John the Baptist, Sevenoaks; Fr Simon Ellis, the vicar of St Laurence, Long Eaton and priest-in-charge of Holy Trinity, Ilkeston; and Fr Ed Tomlinson, vicar of St Barnabas, Tunbridge Wells, will all serve their last Sunday in the Church of England on 6 March. Fr Ian Grieves of St James the Great, Darlington, has said he will join.
