Deacon Jack Sullivan on the Ordinariate; Commends Ordinariate Portal

22 01 2011

The Rev. Deacon Jack Sullivan writes:

While reflecting upon Blessed Cardinal Newman’s life and compelling spirituality, it most certainly came as no surprise that the formation process of the Catholic Ordinariate in Britain occurred simultaneously with his beatification, especially in this secular-modernist age.  We as Catholics in the US are thrilled with their establishment.  Truly, Cardinal Newman’s heart continues to speak to the hearts of many courageous Catholics in Britain as they follow our Blessed Lord’s “kindly light of truth,” mindful, indeed, of the original Catholic ancestry.

I extend my sincere congratulations and best wishes especially to the Ordinariate of Our Lady of Walsingham, which has chosen to adopt Blessed John Henry Newman as its patron.  May Cardinal Newman intercede with Almighty God that it may grow and prosper in Christ.

May I also congratulate the Ordinariate Portal for the great work it is performing by publishing and facilitating the formation of the Catholic British Ordinariate.

Yours sincerely in Christ,

Deacon Jack Sullivan
