Last month I spoke of the need for Ordinariate explorers to encourage Christian women in their ministry and to affirm their role, dignity and contribution to the faith. I am therefore delighted to announce that Joanna Bogle, Catholic writer and broadcaster, has welcomed an invitation to come and speak at our Ordinariate Exploration Group on Thursday January 27th. Mass will be at 7pm followed by refreshments. At 8pm Joanna will speak to us on the subject of ‘Equal but different: Women and the Catholic Church’.
Members of other churches are very welcome to join us for what should be an engaging and interesting evening. Joanna is a founder member of the ‘Association for Catholic Women in England’, she writes for the Catholic Times and for a journal ‘Voices’ and has often appeared on television championing the voice of faith. I very much look forward to welcoming her to Tunbridge Wells. Her article on the Ordinariate has just been published.
